How it works


The AXI Dental Insurance Policy is a unique and innovative insurance policy which will only be available to selected Dental Practices who specialise in Premium Quality Cosmetic Treatments and are licensed to practice cosmetic dentistry and are registered with the General Dental Council.

Getting Started

Each Cosmetic Dental Practice or individual Practitioner will complete a short Application Form and upon acceptance the Master Insurance Policy will be incepted and a Certificate of Insurance will be issued. The Practice or Practitioner is then the Policy Holder.

Registering your Patients

Each month the Policy Holder will be required to declare the treatments carried out by submitting a simple schedule with the following information:

  • Patient Details – Name, Address, Date of Birth
  • Date of Treatment Carried Out
  • Brief Description of Treatment (e.g. Veneers, Crowns, Browns, Implant Superstructure)
  • Total Cost of Treatment
  • Level of Insurance Cover Required

A Pre-Formatted Schedule will be provided and this should be submitted by email at the end of each month. Thereafter, cover will be in place automatically.

Making a Claim

In the event of a claim we will require the completion of a simple Claim Notification Form which should be submitted by email at the earliest opportunity. We will need to know…

  • Patient Details: Name, Address, Date of Birth
  • Date of Accident or Incident giving rise to the claim
  • Brief Description of the reparation treatment required
  • Assessment or Estimate of the likely retreatment cost
  • Photographic Evidence (where possible) to support the claim

Depending on the circumstances and the amounts involved and in cases where we have been provided with photographic evidence, we offer our commitment to authorise retreatment within 48 hours – although in exceptional circumstances, underwriters may request further documentary evidence. In their 25 year history our underwriters have built an enviable reputation for having paid 100% of all valid claims on a timely and prompt basis.



Frequently Asked Questions


How many patients can I register?

There is no limit to the number of patients that you can register. We believe that once your Patients appreciate the benefits of this low cost enhancement to their procedure, they will all want to take advantage of this peace of mind cover.


How long until a claim is settled?

Under normal circumstances underwriters expect to authorise re treatment within 48 hours of them receiving notification of a claim. See Making a Claim above.


What happens in the case of a dispute?

Our policy has the full protection afforded to all UK insurance policies and is written within the full jurisdiction of the Financial Conduct Authority and as such it gives access to the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FCS) if we or the underwriters cannot meet our obligations.
